Gene Wolfe: Gone Beyond the (New) Sunset

Gene Wolfe would have turned eighty-eight years old yesterday. Mr. Wolfe died a few weeks ago on April 14. The man had lived to a ripe old age, and was suffering from various physical and mental ailments as a result of that, but it still hit me hard. A titan of literature had gone from our midst.
