The mid-to-late 2000s were a time of incredible energy in the small press community that published Sword-and-Sorcery. Howard Andrew Jones was right in the middle of it all, editing and writing for both the Flashing Swords ezine and at Black Gate. Meanwhile, he was also getting Harold Lamb’s pulp tales reprinted and saw his first S&S novel published in hardcover.
