Coming in December: Swain's Vengeance by Arthur D. Howden Smith

Fans of pulp adventure rejoice! Next month will see the release of Swain’s Vengeance, the first of four volumes of Arthur D. Howden Smith’s rousing saga of Swain the Viking. The stories of Swain, which were based on the Orkneyinga saga, appeared in the pages of Adventure magazine in the early 20th century. With few exceptions, these tales have gone unreprinted since then.

The 'Indiana Jones' of the Pulps: Gordon MacCreagh

A son is born, in the American state of Indiana, to a Scottish anthropologist and his wife during the late 1800s. The boy goes on to spend his youth and young manhood in Africa, the Himalayas and Europe both before and during the World War One era. Soon after, he explores the native cultures of tropical South America. During World War Two, he helps the Allies to fight Rommel’s forces in North Africa. This same man also went in search of the lost Ark of the Covenant.
