Today’s Renegade Swords IV announcement is P. Schuyler Miller’s prehistoric adventure tale, “The People of the Arrow,” originally published in Amazing Stories in 1935. Though Amazing was primarily a science fiction pulp, they occasionally ran prehistoric adventure fiction, such as Manly Wade Wellman’s Hok the Mighty series and Arthur Petticolas’ cult classic Dinosaur Destroyer. Years before those saw print, P. Schuyler Miller’s “The People of the Arrow” appeared in the pages of Amazing. 35 years after its original publication, the editors of Amazing saw fit to reprint the tale. Since then, it has been unjustly overlooked or ignored by anthologists—until now.
