Karl Edward Wagner Day Coming This October!
Will Oliver, one of the finest Robert E. Howard scholars to appear in the past decade, contacted me the other day about a gathering he’s hosting this coming October. Will is also a big fan of the late, great Karl Edward Wagner. Thus and so, he decided to get like-minded KEW fans together in Knoxville to commemorate the thirtieth anniversary of Karl’s mortality. Here is what Will says at the official website:
On October 14, 1994, the late 20th century's premier author of both Sword & Sorcery and horror; editor of Carcosa Press, Conan, and the Year's Best Horror Stories series; and native son of Knoxvile, Karl Edward Wagner passed away. In honor of his 30th anniversary since passing, come join your fellow KEW fans for this one-day event to commemorate his legacy. All are invited to attend, though seating is limited to 48. Cost is $20 per person. We are moving to a wait list until further notice.
Sounds cool! The event is being held on October 26. Seats are limited, so hurry up and RSVP here. The event schedule can be found here.
