Lin Carter's Flashing Swords! #6 Available Now

Pulp Hero Press has been on a roll lately, publishing sword and sorcery collections by authors such as David C. Smith and Adrian Cole. Now they’ve resurrected Lin Carter’s Flashing Swords! anthology series, with Robert M. Price as editor. According to the blurb on the back cover, “Flashing Swords! #6 features today’s best and brightest (or darkest, usually) modern heroic fantasy authors.” Some of those authors include Adrian Cole with a new tale of Elak of Atlantis, Price himself with two stories (one featuring Thongor of Lemuria, the other Simon of Gitta), and yours truly with “A Twisted Branch of Yggdrasil,” one of the first sword and sorcery stories I wrote. It’ll be a thrill to see it in print, especially alongside tales of some of the genre’s classic characters!

Flashing Swords! #6 is available in paperback for $17.95. No digital version is currently available, but I expect it will be soon.

Table of Contents:

“The Island of Shadows” by Paul R. McNamee
”Godkiller” by Cliff Biggers
”Varla and the Mad Magician” by Glen Usher and Steve Lines
”Blood Games in the Temple of the Toad” by Frank Schildiner

”The Lion of Valentia” by Steve Dilks
