DMR Books to Reprint Cahena, Manly Wade Wellman's Final Novel

The most popular book we released last year was Heroes of Atlantis & Lemuria, which featured five stories by Manly Wade Wellman about his character Kardios, the last survivor of Atlantis. Fans have asked us to bring back more Wellman into print, and we couldn't refuse. We just made arrangements to reprint Cahena, the last novel Wellman wrote.

Cahena is a historical novel (with fantasy elements) dealing with the brave and beautiful warrior queen who reigned over the Berbers in the seventh century. The Cahena, as she was known, was believed to be a sorceress and prophetess. She led an army forty thousand strong, wielding javelins and scimitars, in a valiant struggle against the Mohammedan invaders who were fresh from their conquest of Carthage. Rich in historical detail and dramatic action, this is a story to rival the great war epics of all time.

Cahena was originally published in hardcover in 1986 and has been out of print since then. We’re very excited to bring it back into print after nearly thirty-five years! The DMR Books edition will be its first ever presentation in both paperback and digital formats. It will be released in October.
